I can't see that MXR IsoBrick fitting under a Pedaltrain board without blocking a whole row of outputs but I don't know as I've never seen on in person. Just an observation based on my experience with the Decibel 11 which has one row of outputs and just barely clears (but is a non-issue, almost like the two were designed together).

I ordered the Decibel 11 Deluxe thru Prymax earlier today.

As Jimmy mentioned on the other thread, it might be possible to use right angle plugs on the row that sits lower with the MXR. I think it would be tight weaving them between the other row of plugs but it might work.

As far as the MXR fitting, check out more info here:

It would be a very, very tight squeeze. But also like I said...I have no first hand experience with the MXR so I could be 100% wrong.

Jimmy, I will echo bongo and advise that before you get the MXR power supply you should check that it will fit. The taller feet will give you the clearance to fit a deeper power supply, but you may not be able to access both rows of outputs. The power supply will sit between the metal rails under the board, and it is the depth of the rail that will need to be cleared by the outputs. I have a T Rex Chameleon which has only one row of outputs, and this just clears the rail. Hope this makes sense, I can't take a picture of my setup as it's in the studio and I won't be back there for another week.

I agree. You have roughly 1/2" so you might have to plug in the recessed row of cable before you set it in the Pedaltrain. The MXR doesn't look like it uses an IEC jack like the Decibel or the Voodoo do. (see what I did there) I really like the IEC jack so that was another thing that sold me on the Hot Stone Deluxe.

Prymaxe didn't have any voltage doublers in stock so I'll have to pick one up somewhere else.

I just didn't want to deal with mounting another cable or adapter under my pedalboard

You can get 10' or 15' 18AWG IEC cables from Monoprice for $2 and they are surprisingly thin.

I'm going to pick one up and attach it to the guitar cable that runs from my amp to my pedal board so I can just run them at the same time and have one less thing to trip over on my side of the stage. I also run sound so the mixer and rack are next to my rig and it's always a mess. My guitarist sets snares when he runs the mic cables.:rollno:

Edit: The link was wrong but I fixed it. They also have great HDMI cables on the cheap.

Seems to be a bit of confusion concerning the MXR Bricks, so here goes:

The two variable outputs can be used to emulate voltage "sag," a drained battery effect sought by many vintage tonechasers". 


Mine will hopefully get in within the next 2 weeks

I have the TRex Chameleon and the Vodoo Labs ISO 5 under my board and while both are great I have had to start using the power supply that came with my Line 6 wireless. I use the G50 and every 3rd gig or so the wireless would power down then come back on very dimly lit and flickering. Never happens with its own power supply but happens with both the TRex and the Vodoo Labs. I don't ever use all the slots of either one and don't have any unusually power hungry pedals so it isn't a case of overloading.Mine may be an aberration but I've gone back and forth testing with consistent results over the course of a few months.

I used my powerpedal 2 to power my Sennheiser wireless and it worked great for 3 years. Now the PowerPedal is having issues so I'm considering picking up the ISO brick. Just need to find out if it can power my wireless. It's very convenient only having to plug in my Amp and Power supply when I get to gigs.

Wow! That is a fantastic little brick. I so don't need one but it could make things a bit easier. Very jealous. Thanks for the info. Looks perfect for what I have in mind.

I've been using Voodoo Lab Pedal Power and Pedal Power IIs for years, with no problem. I've never actually used any of the PP2 features beyond the PP1. They seem like a great company to deal with too. I bought my first one of Ebay, and something was messed up with it (I forget what). The fixed it for 30 bucks shipped even though they knew I wasn't the original buyer
