I know that taste is a matter here but I loved "the Brown album" just for the sheer filth of it.
Songs like "Over the falls" and "Shake hands with beef" are just cool just because they sound filthy and unpolished. I guess that Les Claypool got inspired from the Tom Waits sessions he also did back then (Most notably on "Bone machine" which I think is Tom Waits best album and it also sound really raw and filthy)
To get back on "Video plasty" I loved the way those songs are played live. "Tommy the cat" for example sounds so much better than how it sounds on "Suck on this" The reason: you can actually make out just what Claypool plays and the mid sections where he plays "the awakening" by The Reddings is just so funky. Plus the fact that Buckethead played on "Those damn blu collar tweakers"

Oh, I didn't even post which was my fav. album...
Sailing the Seas of Cheese would have to be my fav.
Maybe coz it's the last one I got (I knew it already, but didn't own it)
Then Pork Soda or Frizzle Fry would have to come in next.
Brown Album is a wierd thing, sometimes I love it sometimes I hate it. It's kinad like likerish... or Marmite
