Ok Mighty Warrior which will you choose?

I'm feeling geeky today so for fun.......

Congratulations you have defeated the dragon! You make your way to the Wizard's cave and he lays out before you your prize! He tells you that you may choose only one. On the altar before you in a bright glowing light lies a true 1950's model Fender P all original and next to it a high dollar custom series II Alembic. Before you choose he explains that once chosen it becomes bound to you and you can never sell it only play it for the rest of your days. Choose wisely chosen one for your new quest awaits!:hiding:

That was a rhetorical question for yall...

My point is one is an vintage american classic, the other is a high end souped up fast playing custom-made exotic wood bass, why would you be trying decide between them, they don't look the same, dont sound the same, dont feel the same, arent made from the same materials, one's passive the other's active, one is 1950s technology the other is pushing bass technology, one is hand made the other was built in a factory.

Someone needs to lighten up a bit... I mean, would you have this attitude in front of the Wizard? You've just defeated a dragon dammit!

Yea I would, because I'd tell the wizard the choices are no fair.

You tell the Wizard that his choices are not fair. He get's a frown on his bearded face and shouts "Fine!" The two basses vanish. Suddenly strapped to your back is a Starcaster jazz bass with no strings and rusty pups. You are teleported back to the beginning of the Labrynth. You hear the dragon roar off in the distance! You have to start over:mad:

Oh this is easy. From a player's perspective I'd choose Fender, because it would be a MUCH better fit for the gigs I get.

On a lesser note: from a collector/investor's perspective I'd still choose Fender because its value will continue to rise. Not true for the Alembic, unless maybe it could be proven to have been owned by someone like John Entwistle.

Alembics are way cool and I'd love to own one, but not as my primary bass.
