Not to pry into ones affairs, what does a refin like what you did cost?

I have a old Pbass body I want to have a similar finish applied.

I do think the satin finish alone could save it from an expensive paint job, but it will get a new pickguard either way.

(since I took these pictures I put black screws on it too, just because)

I love my fiancee to death, but she is a bit clumsy. Covid has put our marriage plans on hold as well. Most of the stuff she breaks is her own however. She doesn't realize sometimes when she bangs into stuff, happily she has zero desire to drive my car! She has an old car which I offered to replace, but she refuses. (lucky for me) LOL!
I have another battle scarred bass, an Elite Jazz (nothing ever damages the cheaper MIM Fenders), why?? The story on that one: In our previous apartment, my rack was next to an end table which had a heavy Tiffany style lamp. My late cat Rascal may he rest in peace, used to love to rub his head against the lampshade. One day I'm sitting right next to the table and he overdid it, it fell right onto my Olympic white Jazz! It has a little divot in the body just below the control plate. I filled it in with some white wood filler. I'm debating on having it repainted now as well.

I don't think I should quote on this forum, your existing finish might make it more or less expensive based on repairs your body might need. You should contact Pat Sims directly to get a quote. Guitar Painting and Refinishing

Never played a P bass 5'er, how do you like it? I bought a Stingray Special 5 recently. Still getting the hang of it.

View attachment 4035935 Attached is a quick photo of my 2013 (not too old) Select Precision that I had painted satin finish Lake Placid Blue Poly by Sim's Custom Shop. It was formally 2 TSB Nitro that had an unexplained large ding on the lower horn appear one day. I had not played it, it was sitting in the guitar rack with 4 other basses. My fiancee claimed no knowledge, but I have my suspicions. Regardless it was depressing to look at so I did some research and decided to send it off for a makeover. I'm more than pleased with the results! The other mod to the bass is a set of GZR pickups, otherwise it's unchanged. Highest recommendation to Pat Sims Guitar Painting and Refinishing
I originally was going with a gloss finish, but after seeing the new Fender Tony Franklin, I changed my mind. I'll upload some more photos this weekend.

Nice! Love the maple fretboard with that blue! You can't beat GZRs for that "rock" tone. Ever consider a black pickguard? Congrats on the makeover.

Thanks for the compliment. I have a black PJ with black pickguard and black screws. Thinking about black knobs and Bridge possibly too. Don't even remember what brand bridge I put on that one, here is a pic.

This is an American standard 2012. Low B is unexpectedly solid. Really, really good!

I wouldn't do that as the chrome knobs and bridge really match the strings very well!

I'm a bit impulsive, I ordered the same bridge (Hipshot) from a TB'er in black, new black knobs from Audere, new black Hipshot tuners and black Gotoh string tree. Too late to turn back now!

I might put all the black hardware on it and say "WOW" or "***". It's reversable nonetheless.

I had a friend in high school who had a 67 Jazz Bass in three color Fender sunburst and for some reasons took it apart and did not mod it. Another friend stripped the finish and sanded the body so that its wood was perfectly smooth. Then friend one spray painted the body poorly with Rustoleum black and really upset friend #2.
Would have done better to have sent it to Sim's Custom Shop
