I'm a relative novice bass player doing rock covers and contemporary worship band stuff. I have been playing casually for eight years. I have two Washburn Force ABT basses, the Force ABT 4 and, as of yesterday, a Force ABT 5. The 4 is a 2002 model; the 5 is a 2006. The older I get, the more I play. Since I'm self-taught (meaning a crappy bass player) I thought it was time to get a bit more knowledgeable and hope to glean from the collective experience here.
Right now I'm going to clean-up and refurbish the 5. I'm also going to re-string both instruments but don't know a lot about string gauge and design so that's what led me to this forum. I've hesitated joining due to my lack of experience and knowledge but then decided this might be a good way to gain in those areas.
