1925, upstate NY. It can be a real pain, but I've got to live somewhere, and I can't beat the location. Plus I've learned some wisdom - every house has imperfections, and I like coming home to *my* imperfections.

Love the old cameras on display!Looking at some of your pics in other threads, it seems like this may be kind of a thing around here.
Whatcha got in the way of creaky floorboards and haunted attics/basements?
Double bonus if you're in an old Sears or comparable "catalog" house.
Ours isn't super old, but compared to places we've lived in the past, it's got some years on it.
Fort Worth, Oakhurst Historic District, built in 1940, historic landmark status (tax breaks). Combines Tudor Revival, Bungalow and early Ranch, which wasn't really a home style until after WW2.

Almost all the houses up here in the woods were originally cabins, and got added on to, here and there, bit by bit. This one was started in, I think, 1934. As a friend said when he came to visit "great house, but not a plumb line in the place". Still some knob and tube wiring..
We love living here.
This is our last house that we moved from back in 2021. It dates from 1485!!Whatcha got in the way of creaky floorboards and haunted attics/basements?

Vaguely reminds me of a place we visited a couple weeks ago, Fonthill Castle. There was tile everywhere, including up and down walls before I did a bunch of renos. And there were red and green sparkles embedded in textured ceiling (that I’ve since removed).

That’s just a block over from me. Some of the Wedgewood houses look the same too. What street? We were on Summercrest, '63-66.
Funny, the neighborhood where we lived for 24 years in NE Dallas was like a mirror image of Overton Park, even built during the same period.
Our fireplace has not worked (as a fireplace) since sometime in 1956....and the fireplace works. Also, we have both a front and back yard within city limits! And a driveway!
