good grief...
give the guy some time to mess around with it...he's a moderator on TB, a member since Mar 2000...somehow I doubt Hambone has ripped us each for $10 in order to get a Wish bass for free---

have some faith in him...maybe he's got something important going on (like crisis wise)? maybe Prog calling will clear up any confusion, but it would greatly surprise me if someone with his stash of basses would want a Wish bad enough to steal one.

I don't think Hambone is up to anything bad at all. Like Prog said, there was probably just something that's come up or a family thing, or maybe his computer broke down. I've got faith in him.

BTW, Buddy Lembeck??? Could you have thought of an even worse screen name? Just thinking of Charles in Charge gives me chills...

LOL!!

Sorry if you guys say it's cool, then who am I to say?? I didn't even contribute. I was just saying what I would do in the situation!! I will take my comment back because I didn't mean to slander someone that is obviously well liked!!

I hope he is ok- i have read that he is posting elsewhere, so its strange that he hasnt posted here..
here's an interesting little tidbit-
i donated $20- i told him the extra $10 was on behalf of whomever might have wanted to but couldnt afford- the $20 is not a big deal. but..
when i posted i had become a j retro dealer, Hambone became a little vigilant- he asked " how can you be a j retro dealer when Steve Dude Barr is the dealer?" - i explained Steve was the distributor and he gave me a dealership- apparently that wasnt enough, because he posted at the Dudepit- questioning again, wether i was indeed authorized to be a dealer- of course, Dude Barr responded that yes, i was authorized to be a dealer- but it kinda confused me that my word wasnt enough.. so, Hambone, wherever you are , bro- you were very concerned and vigilant of me, you responded very quickly to my post about j retro- whassup? you got these peoples money - dont worry about mine- im good. But you havent showed here in weeks- and so far everyones been very understanding and givivng you the benefit of the doubt- you are obviously well liked... but i sure do pray you are ok, otherwise, i dont undestand why you abandoned this thread-
again.. ironic that you were worried about MY principles.. peace!- Adrian

Yeah, and to not return Progs messages probably does NOT mean he's all upset... if he was, I'm sure he'd tell at least ONE person. Especially when that person is making an earnest effort to call by telephone.

It's therefore my conclusion that something has come up that has got him on the road or so busy he doesn't have time to blow his nose, much less come up for air and check in. I hope I'm right, and if I am, I hope it's not a bad crisis that's messing up his life. I can certainly relate- back in Novemeber I got a call saying that dad had a replapse of some bleeding vessles in the brain. Boom, like that I was out of town and in Dallas. Didn't even try to find an internet terminal to check in. (He's fine now, though in rehad to reteach some motor skills)

Hope to see you soon, Hammie
