Well I'm not the only one to notice the difference between the BMSes. Unfortunately I went from old BMS to new BMS and back to old BMS (quickly!) - I never had both at the same time to be able to produce A/B comparison clips, but they sound totally, obviously different.
Frankly, anyone who doesn't think they sound totally different shouldn't even be involved in music, because their ears don't work. The XO BMS sounds like a cheap knock-off of the original.
I wonder if the new POG will be quieter than the original. The Micro is dead quiet. The full size, not so much (the engineers at EH even said as much).
The interesting thing about this is that most people think the XO BMS is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Hmm...
They could make a foot controller tiny if they wanted. The only part taking up the space would be the footswitches.
I guess the better way to say it would have been "if they would" haha. I guess having six switches crammed together could get a little cramped but I don't think that's enough reason not to do it.
Also interesting is that those people are deaf and that it isn't.
Maybe if you'd never used the original or reissue you'd be happy with the XO, but it's not a patch on the original.
Although, there is still no volume control on the Qballs. Why EHX can you not put volume controls or output controls on your filters!

Didn't even notice that. One of the reasons I'm so happy with my 3Leaf is that despite having no volume knob, there is no volume spike/drop; maybe the Enigma will luck out in that regard as well (the spike on the Qtron was one of the few things I didn't like about it).
The one reason (the ONLY reason) I'm not getting the POG2 to replace my HOG is b/c there's no dry out. Thank god, since I really don't have the money. Many thanks to the OP for starting this thread!
I don't remember a volume spike on my bassballs at all, but the qtrons definitely spike. I was thinking long and hard about trading my qtron+ out with a different filter, but I enjoy the sound of it too much.
I'm really hoping that this qballs doesn't spike. I really liked the sound of the bassballs, and the knob turning factor of this really sets off my interest in it.

Does that look like a Hazarai knob? I can't really tell from the picture, but I was going to guess something like that would be on the POG2. You know, just throwing an idea out. But it looks like I might be right!
