OMFG! Full POG2 Spec and Qballs / 22 Caliber!!!

The XO box smaller footprint is a bit of an optical illusion. Once you get the jacks in you don't really save much space.

With the jacks in, you save about 1.5"-2" of horizontal space and around 3" of vertical space. That's enough to make a difference for most, particularly if you have more than one of the XOs.

And, IMHO, these larger-bodied XO models feel a bit cheap compared to the older bent stainless boxes. Can't really explain it any better than "feels a bit cheap", though.

They're certainly lighter, but so far they've been much more reliable than the old boxes, so they must be doing something right.

I still wouldn't buy it. Old BMS tone is too much nicer than New BMS tone.

The new BMS may as well be digital given how lame it sounds.

To quote bigchiefbc,
Lets just save ourselves a few months and 10 threads.

It will sound just like the original.

A large minority will claim that it doesn't but will not produce any clips to show the difference.

a few will claim nothing about the actual sound, but just say that it lacks some je ne sais quoi or 'mojo'.

Within a year, the originals will be back up to selling for more than the reissues

:D

:D

I for one am jazzed about the POG2, but with the Pitchfactor at only about $150 more, I'm torn as to what I'd want more.

The 22 Caliber seems interesting. I'm wondering if it's a real power amp, or just a high gain boost pedal. The POG2 also looks really cool, but I don't see myself getting one anytime soon (Micro POG + Pitch Factor = no more octaver GAS). It would be cool if they released an XO version of the expression pedal features of the HOG though. I'd buy that in a heartbeat!
The QBalls seems like it's a combination of the Bassballs and the filter section from the BMS. Very intriguing!
Now to wait for EHX to start posting some videos and sound clips!
