That's true. When your computer isn't working right it should at least be your fault for breaking it. Not for failing to attend to it at every moment. It's even sort of okay to need to reboot when you install software (although it's bizarre), but you Windows users put up with so much and act like it's nothing.I think all you windows owners completely miss the point that all that maintenance should not be necessary on a well written, 21st century operating system.
I wasn't stating any of that maintenance was necessary. I was merely stating my own OCD issues with always cleaning out and tuning up my system. Hell, I'M broke, not IT!!!I think all you windows owners completely miss the point that all that maintenance should not be necessary on a well written, 21st century operating system. Unix has NEVER had the problem with needing to be defragmenting, and the ONLY time it should be necessary to reboot is when new hardware is added, not for installing programs or device drivers!
rag on windows all you want, but whats the only thing funnier than a Linux gamer... a Mac server!!
i love that one... so very true.
C'mon, you're really being silly with this. There's no truthiness here...That's true. When your computer isn't working right it should at least be your fault for breaking it. I know many people that rarely do maintenance. Sure, they eventually see a degradation in performance. While that may in fact be a Microsoft OS flaw, I'd take that flaw over any Apple product any day.
3 things: Spybot, Antivirus, Registry Cleaner
Those are the 3 things. They even are scheduled to run themselves. I have more trouble remembering to pay my bills than keeping my PC clean.
