Hmm was interested enough to check out his Myspace, but when you can't turn off his goddam advert to listen to the vid of him actually playing I lost the will to live....

I think the idea is to have the people you're playing for drooling, and like I've said before, anything that makes people actually look at the bass player is a good thing.

No offense but upon reading that the first thing that came to mind was that maybe someone else doesn't get it.

Listening with your eyes is a problem many people have. Fortunately I have gigs and studio work where I can show up, do what I do and get paid. Because I didn't get hired for what my basses looked like. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones

For as much as musicians like to think of themselves as individuals, it's funny how many seem content to work in a box and let others blaze a trail that they might later follow. Don't set a trend, just follow when it's good and safe.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Kevin knows his more out there finishes push the envelope. It's fun to do, that's why he does it. Some people dig it, some don't... as it should be.
