One of the many reasons texting is BS. If you want an answer do it live bro or hang it up.

Great post. Thanks.
The problem is that we had/have a second batch of songs, a second CD's worth, really, that we never really got around to recording due to various factors. It seems a shame to not try to pursue that in some way.
No response is actually a response, and it sounds like you've got yours.
Personally, I wouldn't spend too much energy trying to figure out the "why" of it; Rather, I'd just take it at face value and move on.
The end result is going to be the same regardless. By just accepting it, you spare yourself a lot of unnecessary grief.
You have a choice to not let that kind of s**t move in and rattle around in your head.
Acceptance frees up your energy to be spent in more positive/productive areas & projects.
Yeah, I might mark that guy on my ignore list. Seems a bit flakey. Realizing we are all busy living and working and (those of us that do it on the side) making music but a professional courtesy "recieved your email, we'll be in touch if we choose you for an audition" would take less time than I put into replying to this post and it would go a long way.I had a similar one recently. Replied to an add looking for a bassist.
Wait, wait - your responses are all wrong!
We're supposed to be raking OP over the coals to uncover how he's actually at fault for this situation. We need to figure out what REALLY happened.
Didn't anyone else get the Talkbass memo?

I had a similar one recently. Replied to an add looking for a bassist. I sent over a (what I thought) was a comprehensive resume. Light hearted too not to go in all serious etc.
but I got nothing back at all…for about 2 months then got an email saying thanks but we’ve appointed someone. Then randomly about 2 months later I got a request from an unknown on FB and a message asking if I was still interested as the bassist they got in wasn’t working out. So I replied next day or so that I was. Sent over some tracks that me and some buddies were working on…no reply. Nothing. Not a word. Not even a thanks but no thanks. I’m not too pissed about the no response if I’d reached out but the fact he reached out then ignored me is annoying.
Im not bitter or immature but I hope their band falls apart
As it turns out the tracks I’m making with my buddies are coming out great and we’re gigging them now. So alls well and all that jazz.
doesn’t take a minute to respond!!
Group chats have a different dynamic that one-on-one conversations. Maybe there is a lot of side chat going on there and he muted the entire conversation. Maybe he's waiting to see what other people say first to see if he even needs to say anything. Who knows. I have 2 people in my band who rarely answer group chat questions but will quickly answer a 1 on 1 chat question.
. I've been in several bands with this guy over the years and his complete breakdown in communication is strange and disconcerting.
