What pickup config is the Streamer? I'm curious if it's in the same tonal ballpark as one of the other basses, making at least one of them slightly redundant. If it's the $$, then it would stand on its own.

Edit: just saw that it's a PJ. Hmm. I don't particularly like Stringrays, but that's your only humbucker. Probably the Jazz or the Warwick then, as they are probably most tonally similar.

For me anyway, it took me years to find a true keeper Jazz and recently sold a 68 Precision that I had for 25 years, it was replaced with a newer one. I've had Warwicks and EBMMs too. Getting a good P bass for me has always been easier ... just my 2 cents.

So I'm in the tricky situation of having 4 stellar basses and I need to let one go to clear some debts.

So here are the contenders

USA American Standard Precision 2008 (Maple neck, Sunburst body)

USA AVRI 75 Jazz (Maple neck, Natural body)

USA EBMM ’97 Stingray (Maple neck, Black body, 3 band)

German ’97 Warwick Streamer LX4 (Wenge, Maple, PJ, ACG Pre)

Streamer I’ve done the most miles on, being my first “proper” bass
P Bass I spent a while being picky and bought it new
Jazz plays outrageously well and is the best sounding Jazz I’ve heard
EBMM I love the neck and the punchy tone

I play contemporary worship, post-rock, post-metal, and funk through an IEM setup using a Aguilar Tonehammer.

So which bass would you let fly free?

Good point on the sunk costs. Doesn’t matter what OP paid for any of these basses. There’s a “going price” at which they will sell sooner than later. It won’t help if they just sit there for sale because the price is on the high side.

If the objective is to clear debts, (a worthy endeavor!) time is money.

Take great pictures, price them to sell, and be ready to ship.

Remember, shipping a bass in a case is going to be at least $100, probably a bit more.

Debt is like cancer, but at least you can cure it with out going even more into debt.

It’s just stuff, clean house.

Of those listed I’d say to let go of the P. You can cover similar sonic territory with your Warwick as it’s a PJ and it’ll be easy to replace in the future. There’s always time in the future to buy more basses but the debt needs to be cleared up ASAP.

Of course, you could also double down on saving money and just keep all four, but without knowing your financial situation that may not be a good course of action.

Most of this thread is just going to be the opinions of a bunch of people who have never seen or played your actual basses and who are going to tell you to dump the one that they like the least. I for one am not a big fan on P basses so my opinion would be to get rid of the P. But it may be a great bass for you! It is a tough choice because they are such different instruments. I would play them all back to back for the better part of a day and get rid of the one that speaks to me the least.

Probably the stingray...for me. That or the warwick.
