OK gang...you have a one string bass.

What do you tune it to?

five octaves below low B :D

Why would you want or need a 1 string?
  3. C. It would have to have something like 100 frets on it though.

I am currently tuning the lower half of my one string bass to low H. The upper side of the string I am tuning to carrots.

I don't need 100 frets on mine - mine's got a whammy bar, so I can reach any note I want easy.

Mine would be fretless. That way I would never have to tune it.

Mine would be C, and 38 fanned frets.

    With a whammy bar.

And the electronics from JT's Conklin 8 strings.

    With a Mr. Coffee.

    And a Mr. Radar.

It would also have to be headless.

    And have LEDs. Everywhere.

    Low A, with 36 frets.
  9. Whamola tuning.

    Well, just a whamola.
  10. A, through a whammy pedal.

and a hipshot D-tuner to drop it to E.

and one of those Ibanez detuner monorail bridge units to drop it to G.

I've actually been contemplating a low F# fretless 1 string for a while now.
