One String Bass Poll - what's your tuning?

Why would you want or need a 1 string?

I am currently tuning the lower half of my one string bass to low H. The upper side of the string I am tuning to carrots.

I don't need 100 frets on mine - mine's got a whammy bar, so I can reach any note I want easy.
