Stop in to my local GC, couple minutes to kill, and its been a minute since I've been to the store. Bass department looks the same they got a 70's Jazz in black, a 3TS Jag and a Bongo, burgundy (yuk) price $876, not a fan, of it or the Stingray too... active for lack of a better word.

I plugged the Burg Bongo into an Acoustic B200H&1x15 it sounded amazing to me, still not fan of the looks but that's one unique sounding bass. I am interested:D

What do you guys think? I don't need another bass, I am Fender guy with a Ric as my main and an 00 MIA Jazz as backup. But I am gassing.

That is possible, the Acoustic amp is boss. But its such an ugly bass and I've never played any Stingray type basses and don't know jack. This bass is totally off my Bassdar, its like a cloud U know its there but you don't really pay attention.

I just want to connect with anyone who owns one these as their main axe?

I had a 5'er with dual humbuckers and piezo for about a year. The output on mine was so "hot" (for lack of a better word) that I ended up using flatwounds on it to get the tone I wanted. That isn't meant to be a bad comment...just what I found was necessary for me personally.

For someone with better technique than me (lighter touch), it would probably have a lot of positives to offer. Dave LaRue seems to do very well with them. They're an interesting bass...just kind of Star Trek looking.

I bought one without ever having played one - from someone on ebay. It was a Stealth 5 string.

I sold it it, but I really liked it - I bought another one - a four string BLUE DAWN 2007 limited edition, but someone on here offered me more than I paid for it, and I was broke, so I let it go to.

BUT DO IT! GET THE BONGO!!!!

I have that same bass, and I had the same experience, but I found that for me, flats were an overcompensation. I settled on half rounds.

I heart my Bongo.

If you like it, and think it sounds good, and you want to spend the money, you need no further validation from any one of us!
