Couldnt be happier for you. As a father myself, plus playing bass as a full time professional, sometimes you just need a hobby, and its great if that hobby is something you love dong, whether playing the basses, tinkering with them, polishing them, or just looking at them. My Dad has had a gun collection for like 50 years, and as far as I know he has only shot like one deer. But he polishs them, trades them, and sells them, and it keeps him from telling me what a crappy job Im doing with my life everyday, so do whatever it takes to keep you grounded, happy, and balanced. I too have owned way too many basses over the years. Never more than 10 at a time, but in 20 years I would say Ive had over 100 basses easily, from trying them and returning, to keeping and fixing up and selling, etc. Its good to try everything if you can, that way, you know what you like, and what you dont! Rock on big guy!
