Online retailers for best prices

Has anyone recently bought strings from "Bass Strings Only"? Great prices but a minimal website.
Any recommendations for similarly priced online retailers?
Thanks
Yes but has been a while.about 4 years ago I bought several Tapered B stings for my Warwick Corvette STD. If I remember correctly, what they charged for one B string and used with set of 4 of the same manufacture bought on Amazon was cheaper than buying their 5 string set .

I've dealt with Jason at Fret Nation (formerly Bass Strings Online) for the last 12 yrs and he's always been very helpful in putting together package deals. He's a bass player himself and understands our needs based on his vast knowledge of bass strings in general.

When I'm shopping for bass strings, I don't just look for "lowest prices" but the "best value" and excellence in customer care. And Jason delivers every single time.

This thread's a month old, the recommendations are still current...

Jason or someone at Fret Nation definitely proved your point. I am going to restring a new to me Fender American Performer Precision. The newer Fender string posts are short, small diameter and tapered. I ordered some Ken Smith Compression Wound and due to lack of reading comprehension got anxious when I realized the reviews of these strings I have read mentioned the speaking length of the string is 38"? I think it was perhaps your reviews michael t about different strings that impressed me to try compression or pressure wound. So I started a chat and asked if I could change the order to the GHS Pressurewounds because of the bit shorter length (37.25") even though they cost about $5 more, please tell me how to pay the difference since I used Paypal. The person I was chatting with said the GHS are a better choice for my instrument and don't worry they will cover the difference. I don't buy strings very often but how generous was that? Happy New Year. Go buy some strings at Fret Nation.

Depending on what you're looking for, GimmeSomeStrings is a good resource. He's local to the DMV area, so for me shipping is almost always next day. But even that aside, I find he's very responsive and more than willing to go to the manufacturers for special requests.
