I am about to give serious consideration to buying a 2010 Fender Deluxe Active Jass bass MIM and jut wanted to hear what peoples thoughts are on them Pros and cons? Any parts not up to the job and need replacing etc?

Love 'em. But they're inconsistent. Shop for one that feels right.

And seriously -- look into the Squire Deluxe J. They're ever bit as good IMO. And 1/4 the price.

+1 on the squier. They're probably a little lighter in weight as well.
