anyone know why the controls on the TB500 head are a complete mirror of the TB500 Combo?.......in theory it is the same amp head isn't it?
Yes it is.

Does anyone know what frequencies the bass/mid/high knobs boost and cut specifically?
It's covered in the technical review from Bass Gear Magazine. Check it: Invalid Link Removed
Short version: Bass = 50 Hz boost only; Mids = ~600Hz cut only; High = 5KHz boost only
but seriously, read the article and the tech specs. Eye opening, and very helpful.
More mid punch. You can keep it clean with a low gain level and still generate massive volume with the SS power amp side. My description "aggressive" (spelling aside) was to describe the subtle synthesized octave that I think I am hearing from the TB. I'm still interested to see if anyone else hears this besides me. I could be all wet.
Is the cat being run through the effects loop? If so, how does that effect the sound?Pics:
