orange obc410 w/ svt7pro?

Second time today I've read you casting aspersions on current Ampeg CS and reliability, and it's just plain not true. GB definitely has the rep for stellar CS and I would never take that away from them, but Ampeg's CS is vastly improved since getting rid of Jaime Engen 3 years ago. I've seen them bend over backwards to satisfy customers. We all know you don't like Ampeg, but no need to make up stuff to prevent people from buying their stuff.

They do seem to be heading in the right direction. The service seems to be greatly improved. The reliability... seems to be heading in the right direction.

Not making anything up, just saying that there still seem to be many problem posts with their hybrid and lower end solid state amps. It is pretty obvious when you cruise the threads.

It's also pretty obvious Ampeg's taking care of people who have bum amps. You get the insane demand that Ampeg has, you're bound to get a few bum amps. But my PF350 has worked great since I got it ;)

Just thought I would let you all know I recieved my SVT7PRO on Thursday afternoon, have only had an hour to mess with it but so far....wow! I am loving the tone! and in my opinion its very flexable tone-wise. I have an Ibanez SR premium bass which sounds great with the head and have the -15db switch on (noticed the peak light coming on alot without it, i noticed a few of you dont use the switch, do you still have the peak light coming on alot?) in the setting i have i put gain up full, gives a warmer sound IMO

....OH....and it is SO LIGHT! :) :bassist:

Wow, Gain up full! I'm definitely a fan of the tone you get with the Gain up between, say noon and 3:00 on the 7Pro, but I don't think I'd try running it up to noon (though maybe with the -15dB pad engaged, you offset things enough).

Glad you like it, though!

Also just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how to run the rbi with the 7pro? was thinking either running the sbi into the input or the effects loop (want to be able to use both sets of eq) and the 7pro has a fx blend which makes me think i should go with the effects loop? (also means i can switch it off and have a clean tone to run as well)
