ordered my amp today

thanks everybody, I posted on the "other" forum, and most of the responses are telling me I messed up by picking the ampeg :[ now I'm gonna be all nervouse for the next couple days waiting for it, lol

and the reason I made a new thread was because even though it would make sense to put it on the other post so the people following and involved with that post could see it, i was excited and wanted to share my excitement with those who may not have been following the other thread

Lol.. well most normal people, unlike us, go into a store, turn on an amplifier and buy or don't buy. :)

The problems I have with going into a store are one, the closest one is over an hour away and has crappy prices. And two, in my experience, EVERYTHING sounds better in the store. Hell, I even bought a berhinger amp ones that sounded amazing in the store :P

I'm going to be running it into an 8 ohm carvin 410 right now. I have a carvin 210 but its 4 ohms, so I can't run them together without dropping the ohms too low, So I haven't decided on the second cab yet.

I was at the Guitar Center yesterday in San Jose yesterday and everything I played sounded like c***.

Of course, there a really good bass player right behind me playing really loudly, so maybe it was my own lack of self confidence:crying:.

Well than for that matter, it doesn't matter what you get since everything won't be as good after the honeymood period! J/k

My last trip to the music store everything sounded good, especially the Ampeg hybrids. I'm sure they adjust the acoustics at music stores though. Nobody would buy guitars or drums if the walls were shaking and windows rattling like my room at home. :p
