Need a little help here, picking up a post 2010 American Fender Deluxe Jazz and need to find a place online to order a new pickguard. Having a heck of a time locating this particular configuration and hoping I don't have to go the custom route. Thanks.

You could just buy a sheet of pickguard material and cut it yourself. Cheaper than ordering a pre made/ custom one and you get to choose what shape you want.

I'm pretty interested in Grants Pass and Medford. I've been around the state to an extent, but I haven't hit these two towns yet. I hear good things about Medford.QUOTE]

I've lived in Medford 27 years now. Great city and it really boomed a few years ago just before the economy went into the tank. Grants Pass is probably a "prettier" city though. We have a beautiful view of Mt McLoughlin though it does get very hot here in the summer (few weeks of 100+ degrees).

Invalid Link Removed has a ton. Not sure if they are post 2010. If they don't have them they may know where to get 'em.

Good luck.

I've ordered custom pickguards from them before and they do a good job, was just hoping to avoid the added expense of a custom cut, who knows though, they might have them now - just not listed on the site. Thanks.

Took this picture the other day headed south on I-5, just prior to Medford.

Don't know why I'm listed MIA. I'm on an early page. This thread died for a long time but I have been lurking.

Okay, now I'm not picking up the torch or anything, just trying to get us back on track as far as numbering goes. This is what I found, there are some definite gaps. For those that have been visiting recently and know your number, it would help if you could reply with your number so we (and I mean all of us that are still here) can work together to get going again. I will update this list as members post their info. Again, not taking over, just helping out the club. Thanks.

I've thought about it, but then again buying a router would kind of negate wanting to save a few bucks :)

Psh, who needs a router haha. JK of course.

I posted that assuming that you had one:P There could be other methods of cutting a PG but none are coming to mind. Is there extensive routing in your bass? You could just go without the gaurd if that's a look that you would like.

No "DOA", no "MIA", no 3 post minimum or anything. You want a number? Ask for one.

Please update your sigs accordingly if you have a different number posted in that. I took the time to go back through the thread and this list should be accurate.

Here's a google docs spreadsheet containing the numbers:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...3XuoGdG9qNXUzbC1wQVluNVBySzc5ZVVmWEE&hl=en_US

This will be used to keep track of the numbers.

Curious where you are at in Oregon.

Could you discuss why you went off playing before getting back into it? I did a similar thing. Played a ton of bass from about 1980-1998, lots of bands, gigs, etc. Gave it up when I became a dad, just started back about 4 years ago but only seriously the past several months.

Didn't even realize how much I missed it.

And as far as the Oregon Civil War goes, I have a solution. I'm pretty new to the state, so when people ask if I'm a Duck or a Beaver I tell 'em I'm a Platypus because its body looks something like a beaver, but it's got the feet and bill of a duck.
Yes but, how much time do you have?

I live in Portlandia,
I used to play (Sherman the WABAC machine please) in the 70's and 80's in a couple of bands The REEF ARIES and The RUDE BOYZ.

Everything was going pretty good THEN, da, da da, daaaa! Life happened. So I lived the life of a straight job working nights as a printer supporting my beautiful and caring wife and two wonderful kids, maybe jamming once in a while but, not much.

Fast forward 32 years at the same job, same more or less company. I get fired for "Falsification on time records" for get this, da, da da, daaaa! for working ten minutes LONGER then I clammed. 32 years down the toilet :bawl:

Now, I live the life of a scared little bunny :hiding: Living on unemployment. Trying to get a job as an older worker ( Note to world: Don't get old, or sick and you'll be alright :D )

BUTTTT and this is a big BUT. I spend ALL my time with MY(don't tell his mom :D) 3 year old grandson ( he lives with me) and, right now I have time to jam so, untill the money or life runs out THAt'S what I"M doing now baby :hyper: :D

And you? Are you sorry that you asked? :p

Thanks KingRazor, nice work on the list! As Mel Brooks once said "It's good to be the King!"

Well, I contacted WD and they just added the 21 fret deluxe jazz version of the pickguard to the library so was able to order one today without paying the custom upcharge. Thanks for the help all.

Okay, here's my question: What size shafts do Sadowsky stacked pots have? I believe the standard volume, tone, etc are 1/4" - but can't find any info on the stacked. Any help would be appreciated. Reason, thinking about getting some of the Sadowsky type knobs for a MIA Deluxe Jazz.

Grhhhh would like to help you out but I just don't have a tool for checking the size. I'm sure Roger Sadowsky comes here regularly so you can send him an email about that. Sorry not being able to help you out!
