Interesting initial polling results, but perhaps not totally unexpected;

2:1 (in favor of) EQ to Drive

Many drives out there, but no other DCX Bass EQz!

Let's look at it again...shall we....

That will be the next poll...

I use it on EQ mode, always on, just before my JDI. Makes my basses sound great when going directly to the desk. This setup has even led me to replace my amp sim pedals, which now sit collecting dust in the drawer.

With the settings at level 12:00, drive 11:00, bass 12:00, and treble 12:00, I achieve a sound close to unity gain. From there, I make adjustments based on the specific requirements of the moment.

For my active basses, I generally leave the EQ untouched but occasionally boost the level if the engineer desires more gain. On my passive basses, I tend to amplify the bass and level towards 14:00, while nudging the treble towards 13:00.

Mine is in EQ mode, and used for an "11" pedal - for that one spot in the set where you need...one more. They're making a sequel, we all need an 11 pedal.

Except last week, when I had in on the whole time, but set very subtle-y.

OK, I don't know exactly all I'll use it for yet - time will tell.

After the SV as a tone enhancer makes more sense to me considering the DCX is based on the UA 610 preamp for studio recording where an Ampeg bass amp would be first in the chain--but I'm just me.

Considering I'd use the DCX as an OD more so than an EQ, I'd say in front of the BassRig. Otherwise, how am I making use of the DI output and the fantastic cabsim when going direct? I always put drive pedals before the amp (if we consider the BassRig an "amp").

Does the DCX have any purpose in front of a BassRig Super Vintage? Like, would it enhance anything? Or is it redundant?

There's an abundance of drive for my needs in my setup, which can include an Ampeg SVT-II--but I'm just me.

Regardless, I essentially answered your question... and now so have you for that matter. Subsequently, I'm not sure why you asked the question here in the first place. If it works for you then it does.

I asked cos I wanted to hear from users how they interact with each other. I always had the idea of putting the DCX (or any drive pedal for that matter) in front of the BassRig, never after, and I was just asking if it's a combo people are happy with here on TB :)
