Just had the Grand opening of my new shop yesterday. As expected, the night before, we found ourselves down to the last minute moving instruments in, putting up wall hangers, etc...
I had just put my beloved Moonshine Double Neck Bass up on the wall (about 6' off the floor), then my wife & I went next door to pick up some pizzas for everybody.
My fifteen year old son met me outside the store as I came back; He was white as a sheet, the first thing he said was "Dad; a guitar fell off the wall...I didn't do it!"
I came in & found this.

Wow. I built this about ten years ago. I haven't used it several years, but it had become a great showpiece for my company.
At first I said that I would just sell off the parts, but after thinking about it, I have decided to rebuild it. I still have a lot to do in the shop, so it won't be until after the first of next year, but I will start a thread on the repair when I do. Most likely, I am going to paint it a solid color this time (probably white).
It will live again.

I hate to see such a nice piece in that condition. I would take it as a sign from the bass powers that be to separate two and make 2 great basses out of the 1!!
