"Out for delivery"

Nothing to get too excited about.....but something I've been GAS'ing for for a bit. This will make my 15th version of this bass I've had, hopefully I will decide to hang onto this one.

I have something very special arriving tomorrow, but I have to leave the house for a few hours in the middle of the afternoon, so I'm REALLY hoping it gets here early. No great bass should spend the weekend in the Fedex warehouse.

This reminds me, I had quite a scare a couple of months ago.
I was at work when I saw the "Out for delivery" message on UPS.com, so I raced home from work to wait for it (an Eden combo amp). I waited and waited, then the UPS.com site said "Delivered to front door". I looked outside, and...no delivery! After that, it took them nearly a week to determine that they had delivered it to the wrong house and they finally got my amp to me. But during that week I was just DREADING having to argue with UPS to get them to pay for it. I did have the shipment insured, but from now on I'm going to always require signature approval as well.

I just recieved my 95 Warwick passive from DHL a couple hours ago. Thing is I'm at work as we do so much shipping we get a massive discount and I can't play it. Picks should be on the Warwick Thread in the next 24.
I always hate the "out for delivery" part. Cause it's here, but it's not here. Every minute that goes by I watch the clock. They usually come by now. Did the drive make a mistake and go back for the day?

As many Spectors as I have had, from Korean's to the holy grail USA NS-2, this will be my first with the crown inlays. As pointless as that is, that was a big part of the severe GAS inducing way back when I was a kid and wanted one so bad. Those Kramer back page ads in guitar world used to KILL me!
I am planning on keeping this one hopefully, and swapping pups/pre's until I get the sound I want.

I am a few days away from hearing "out for delivery". The bass I'm waiting for has to come from another (European) country and get to its American distributor before it can be shipped to me via UPS or Fedex.

A few months away from out for delivery myself, buts it all your fault Tim Cole. If it wasnt for that MTD Kingston I purchased off you, I wouldnt have become totally addicted to the MTD neck and purchased an MTD USA! Grrr!

Getting a bass this evening, but the seller is dropping it off, so I can't obsessively check the tracking and I can take my daughter out without fear of missing FedEx/UPS. Missing a bass delivery sucks!

Yeah a 535. I suppose from what I know, Mike Tobias probably doesnt have any packaging like that lying around - although perhaps a Kerry / Edwards wrapping might come from his office!535? Dude, you are going to FLIP at the neck on those! Great basses! Although, I doubt Mikey will include such cool packing material
I don't think I will ever receive a bass as appropriately packaged as that one!
Mine's worse that "out for delivery." Mine is "Signature Required, will try again tomorrow." I have arranged to pick it up this evening, but I will have to go to the UPS facility after 6:30. I'm waiting on a Sadowsky RV-5 in Olympic White with a tort guard. Yeah!
