"Out for delivery"

Question for the pro's....

I bought a Warwick off ebay and I've been tracking the shipment on UPS.com.

This is what it says:

LONG ISLAND CITY,
NY, US 01/10/2007 5:49 A.M. OUT FOR DELIVERY
NEW YORK,
NY, US 01/10/2007 3:10 A.M. DEPARTURE SCAN
LONG ISLAND CITY,
NY, US 01/10/2007 2:30 A.M. ARRIVAL SCAN
LONG ISLAND CITY,
NY, US 01/09/2007 5:43 A.M. OUT FOR DELIVERY
01/09/2007 2:30 A.M. ARRIVAL SCAN



Does that mean that UPS has tried to deliver it twice? I havent gotten a notice on my door at all.

I work like crazy, so its tough to be home and wait.

Are there any numbers to try and arrange pick-up?

I'm really confused.

the address could be off a bit, call them up and give them the tracking number, or even go there, make sure u have some ID also. and see whats up.

How would I know where to go? I haven't received anything other than the tracking number. I never got one of those stickies on the door to my building. From what I can tell, they've never tried to deliver.

I tried calling their 1-800 number, but I just get an automated system that says the package is due to be delivered today.

Is there any way to talk to a human being over there?

that 1-800 number is for the main head quarters, they arent your local post office,

u can call up that 1800 number again and keep asking for "more options" and itll go to an operator and they can answer ur question or give u the number to the local post office, if that doesnt work out, u can go to the actual post office and talk to them personaly

Thanks for the tip. I finally got a hold of someone. She said that the driver is still making deliveries and they have not attempted to deliver it yet.

Isn't 8:30 PM kind of late to be making deliveries? I hope it comes tonight!

Waiting is the worst. UPS never came yesterday, they decided to reschedule my delivery without telling me. They finally updated their tracking info at 11 PM and thats how I found out.

I went into work today really late (1 PM) figuring they might come in the morning. They didn't.

I left work at 3:30, hoping they didnt come yet. I had no tag on my door. I sat in my apartment for the next five hours and heard nothing. The buzzer to my apartment never rang, so I figured they never came. I went downstairs at 9:00 PM and there was still nothing on my door.

I finally go on UPS.com and it says that the driver tried to deliver it at 7:30. I was there, but no one tried to deliver anything.

I called their 1-800 number and spoke to someone. I basically wasted two days at work for nothing. I still have no bass. I'm really getting pissed off with this whole experience.

The worst part is that I sold my old bass before this one has come. I shipped the bass I sold AFTER I bought mine. The person I sent my old bass two got it three days ago. I have nothing.

I'm really dissatisfied with UPS. I have no clue whats going on over there.

I had the same thing happen once. I was home for 3 days all day never went anywhere and they said they tried to delivery 3 times. After "F" bomb laced emails and phone calls, they came back and had it in 2 hours. Amazing.

I ripped some woman I spoke to on the phone earlier. I felt bad because it really wasn't her fault.

I asked her if I could even pick it up. I live in New York City, so I have no need for a car. She said I would have to go to Long Island City, which is a half hour away BY CAR. I couldnt even imagine taking a subway or taxi.

I don't know how UPS runs a business like this. Can't the drivers call the recepient? Can't UPS give you a three hour time frame?

I work in a service industry. Service like this is unacceptable.

I will never ship anything via UPS again.


I can only imagine what the back and forth traveling is doing to my package. It better arrive in one piece.
