"Out for delivery"

9dec018guit.jpg

came in yesturday... isnt she seksi :)

I will have an "Out for Delivery" notice tomarrow in my email, but sadly no one will be home to sign for it. I will have to wait for Monday to get my package :(

Its the price I pay for security. I have to have signature request on all my gear. I live near a bunch of white trash musicians that have taken several packages of mine then claim ignorance. I also have to refuse dealing with Fed-ex because their drivers are outsourced and their HQ can never get in touch with them.

I once called Fed-ex 5 minutes after a "left on front door" notice came in my email. They couldn't get in contact with the driver to tell him to turn around and deliver it to the correct address. Took me 2 weeks to get resolution, and in the end it was because the neighbors got scared, got the amp back from some pawn shop(it had chalked numbers I KNOW the seller didn't put on there) and set it on my door step after the outsourced Fed-ex driver started harrassing them.

So for 2 days I'll have "out for delivery", its like double the torture.

I received a Dean Metalman Vee bass from Musicians Friend today. It was cool, I bought the Yamaha Nathan East bass and then they sent me a coupon for $150 off my next purchase. The Dean was $199.00 on sale. The coupon dropped the price of the bass to $49.99 SHIPPED!!!!! I am pleased with the Dean too, it will take a bit of time to get used to its wings however. I am not used to them being there. The tone and construction of the Dean are very good. Again, it is a single pickup, so it is a one trick pony. Good trick though.

I'm about 1.5-3 months out....I am sure some of you have heard this story before, but I have a DJ4 (white with J-retro) and a 55-02 (in the "special" 2007 amber quilting) on order...ordered them in November and have to wait until Feb/March respectively....live in Chicago, bought them from a dealer in Seatle - Hope to pick them up at the Lakland factory myself when they are ready....it is a PAINFUL wait! e-mailed teh dealer today just to maje sure everything is on schedule....would hate to wait any longer than neccesary!

Was supposed to have the DJ4 in November, but something got screwed up (too long of a story).....talk about a let down!

Hope when I get the word(s) I am in town (I travel alot for my career) and can take a day off to go to the factory (will need that long to get there, play around a bit, and get back home)......

speaking of this I've got an order from Musician's Friend that I placed on Nov 6, 2006. The web site says shipped but I never received anything until late into december, then I received 1/3 of the order. Been going back and forth with them and somehow everything was marked shipped mid Nov in their system but never actually physically shipped (never assigned a UPS tracking #) so they've been shipping me one item at a time, then I call and they are like "...oh the last person put this in wrong we'll fix that", lol, THe last missing item is now on backorder so hopefully by February my november order will be here. The worst part is all of this was an early Christmas gift for a friend, its going to end up as a "mid-feb" gift by the time I get all of it.

All I have is a "Departed Fed Ex Facility"....in Sacramento, CA...

Might I remind some of you that I live in NEW JERSEY!

Ahhhhh!!!

Oh FedEx Gods, please send me my Sadowsky in one piece.

Thank you.

60 days more until I get the "Out for delivery" for my Sadowsky. This is the 5th time that I track a Sadowsky bass and I'm more excited than ever. :hyper: :hyper:
What combo is yours?
