Output jack cover?

Consider an electro socket & switchcraft Jack in place of the football style unless you just want to have a control plate mounted Jack.

I’ve been happy changing to these from football style & Tele cup style jacks.
I’ve got an active/passive jazz, but I never use the active circuit so my idea was to just go all passive and use a regular jazz control plate with the plate mounted output jack.

I thought about just using a three hole control plate and keeping the side jack, but it looks odd with the offset distancing between holes, so I’m opting for the standard control plate.

If I were you, I'd keep the jack where it is and use this control plate:
