The output is really low and to get enough volume I have to turn the gain and master almost all the way up also it sounded like crap. Could this be tubes or should I take it to the repair shop.:crying: even the DI was not putting out much signal. :bawl: This **** is getting really old it doesnt matter how much money I spend, my gear is always breaking down.

The first thing I would do is double check all of your connections, settings and switches. I've had things like this happen, only to discover that something is plugged into the wrong jack, or connected poorly.

I wish that were the case I tryed a few different cables and two basses plus another power amp and cab no luck. Its just strange because if it were tubes then I would have cooked a few of them because the DB 680 has a tube for input and DI out plus a all tube EQ section. perhaps the only way to know is to bite the bullet and take it to the repair shop.:scowl:

But on the up side Fedex showed up with a glockenklang bass art classic today. I cant wait to plug it in, although I have never played through the bass art classic I did play through a soul head and quatro cab and it was amazing.

I'm reviving old threads today ;)

This Bass Art Classic you mention, is the the preamp? If so, how does it compare to the DB 680?

I purchased a DB 680 but I'll have to wait a little before I can collect it. I do have the Bass Art Classic so I wonder how they compare.

I would check the position selector for the DI. If it is not in "position" you may have output problems. Also are you using the pedal? I've lost total volume a few times when the pedal was plugged in
