Hey John,
Any chance you could whip up a 'Invalid Link Removed'?
They're discontinued, and I can only find a schematic for the non-bass version. Or maybe just give me some advice about modding the non-bass version for bass? I'm still a noob at this, but really want to build one.

the other one was a diversion from buuilding dirt pedals. I already own a Boss OC-3 but I wanted an OC-2 only with a single octave down (I don't need the two octave down mode with a bass), so I built my own. it was a large circuit that just barely fit into a 1590B. it sounds really good!
I only just saw this...
Do you have sound clips of the octave pedal you built?
is it a straight oc-2 clone sans 2nd octave?

yep, it's an exact OC-2 only without the 2 octaves down mode.

sorry, but not that one. the circuit is just too complex to justify the price that i'd have to get for one and it just barely fits on a 1590B.
i'd just recommend getting a used OC-2

BTW, I just drew up and built a GK Diesel Dawg on vero board. it sounds really good, although it's a bit noisey (as in hiss), and that's even after I did a few mods to it to reduce the noise.
the nice thing is that it'll fit in a 1590BB which is ALOT smaller than the original. here's a pic of the board while I was testing it:

John- For the TS808 bass mod, did you just increase the input and output caps? I'm thinking of modding my TS9 for bass and also swapping in a Ge diode and LED for the clipping.

I also changed the clipping frequency cap and resistor and raised the value of the drive pot to 1meg.

Not every OC-2 sounds this good. I've heard that some components can go bad in these older units. Does that sound right? If one were to pick up an old OC-2, do you think are there certain components to look at replacing?
