I already have a number, but heres a little modded p action for ya!

The pickup I made by cutting two tabs off of two j pickups, glueing them together, and wiring in series.

Oh my, thats hot!

Look like Bill Lawrence pups to me.
Same here, did Bill make bladed pickups after OBL?
All the OBL P pickups I saw, had double blades.

Nice work. :)

But why so far away from the bridge?
I wanted to get a Stingrayish sound, or just an agressive humbucker, without too much brightness, the actual Stingrat position is 2mm inside the P rout, so I compromised, I' relly happy with the outcome.
I done a similar mod to this jazz bass.

I done this to my Precision TB today, just to see what it'd sound like, suprisingly good.

Mudbucker will go back in as soon as my three way coil tapping mini switch arrives, you can see where I chiseled out the cavity for it.

You really are a mad scientist at work. ;)

I love how you dare to modify your basses. The X2N-7 on the SX, the reverse P on the GB, the two Js on the Squier P.
Awesome work man. :)

I'd love to see the finished result on the VM Tele Bass. :)

It's been a long time since I left the club...but I'm finally back. I had forgotten how funky a P can be.

2000 American Standard.

Your story sounds a lot like mine. Been about 3 years for me since i've had a P. And you have impeccable taste in color combo's:bassist::D You photo skills are much better than mine.

Just got this '06 Lakland Bob Glaub yesterday. I'm lovin' it.

Hehe! Thank you! Shows ya how boring things get in the countryside.:D

The Telebass, when done, should look almost stock, just with the switch added(its arrived at the shop, so hopefully today!:hyper:),

The plan is,
to have the stock sound, loud boomy series mud,
Lower output smooth parallel sound(should work really well)
And a single coil mode, which I'm hoping will get me in the 51P/Darkstar area, as it will still be a high output single coil.

The hardest part is gonna be figuring out the colour coding, so I can tap to make sure its the bridge coil(haha!) that gets used.
