Yup, that's true.
Because of that, you are my only friend here on TalkBass. :crying:

Actually that is bad news for you. ;)
:D

We need to start a "Lonley Hearts" Thread for ya!:ninja:

Yup, cause I like his blue bass.

It must be that creamy pastel blue on the Squier 60s CV that I don't like.
Regardless of color, that Squier was an awesome bass when it came to sound.
I'm not a fan of the CV's pastel blue either, but there's no denying its got tone!

TALLY HO! You mad Irish royster doyster you! :D
Drat, all my Blackadder quotes involve cunning foxes, :atoz:

I'd agree with you there.

By the way, how do you like the Line 6 pre-amp?
I myself am getting a Tech 21 SansAmp for my pre-amp.

I made a thread about looking for a new amp in the amp section.
In short: the POD is a great toy, but I'm in the process of forming a new band and I need something more simple and straight forward.

I might be getting a Paradriver also maybe, still not sure what amp I should get. (GK, Hartke,... preamp?...)

I got a P-bass so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a jazz.

Oh, and in on topic news, my Squier P-Bass TB(the mudbucker one) is getting a mod, and I might be buying a new P bass in April, I need(want:roll:) a good five string.

Cool. Darkstar pickup? :bassist:

5-string P-bass? ....

Man, you're on a frenzy.
Enjoy! :)

The Mark Hoppus?!:confused::D

Three way series/parallel/single, *hopefully* in single mode it'll have a Darkstarish sound, as it'll still be a huge output pickup.

Well, I've wanted a good five string for a while, while my Squier J Delux is nice, the neck tires me quickly, and at 34" the B is a little floppy(my Jazz in BEAD is not floppy though, so??? to that),
and I couldn't decide on a good V, turns out Lakland are making a P5 Bob Glaub, as I also wanted to try a Lakland, two birds one stone, I'll be in Chicago for a holiday in April, so the price should be right too!:hyper: The neck, while longer, should be smaller overall, which is what I want in a 5.

Should be a mighty backup to my Roscoe Beck, which I play most in a P, or P/J, or P/MM sounding config, by the way.

OK, I talk smack(in my head)about all these silly clubs, but since my P is in my avatar it'll be easy to post a pic. It's a slightly-butchered 73- routed for 3rd(now-disconnected)knob, BA-I, shoddy refin. The best part is the genuinely figured alder(yes)! B-neck, medium weight. i keep it tuned DGCF; for some reason it just sounds great down there. Number, please.

I know You probably rarely hear this, but I played a gig through my teacher's Tech 21 SansAmp rackmount RBI preamp through a Samson 1200 Power amp and a GK 4x10 cabinet, and I have to say the tone was impressive.

I bought the small stompbox version, the PBDR.

I'd suggest with that, usually you can find the RBI (tube amp emulator) cheap on eBay and a good power amp.

So what did the third knob do....?

When I bought the bass from BassNorthWest they told me it had a non-functional piezo of some sort under the bridge, so I assumed the extra knob dialed in piezo. When I had it rewired the luthier found that the knob controlled a passive distortion module(!)I guess somewhat like the Black Ice unit for guitar- no piezo. I had him yank it of course & restore it as close to original as was practical, but since removing the pot w/leave an ugly hole, I figured why not just leave it. I love this bass but, like my sig implies, I could live w/an MIJ or two(hint, hint..). :D

This sexy little thing is a parts bass, but she's hot!
