tho like buying a car, we're always offered the same 5 colors blk, wht, red, LPB and silver/sunburst. I really wish 7ender would do more of their colors like this besides the usual sunburst or the firemist which to me is beautiful. Or like this black night color. They could really get creative with all the colors of the rainbow. I guess that option is up to us with refins.....I have two pbasses black and racer red.

That's my favorite color right there. I found a purple Squier five-string Precision on GC's Used Gear page several years and grabbed it. I was very disappointed to find that most of it was in just horrendous condition. The frets and bridge were rusted and there was duct tape residue all over the body because a strep peg and fallen out. It took a few days of work with Goo Gone but I got the duct tape crap off successfully. I then found out the body is in pretty good shape with minimal buckle rash. Everything else is awful though so I bought another 5-string Precision (e-bay this time) with a maple neck to transplant and much nicer, third-party bridge and pick-ups so it's going to be a project.
I sold this one on in 1991, a year after this picture was taken. It started life as a ~1982 JV series Squier precision in Olympic White. I added the DiMarzio J, then went for a piebald look by refinishing the body black. This is one of only two pictures in existence - it looked much better in the flesh...
Ok, so its actual gold leaf, not a paint finish. It looks great! I've been considering the idea of finishing a bass with copper leaf. But the examples I've seen look very patchy and not so great.
Never thought I would buy a black bass.
I DIY'd this one from parts I stumbled across during a cleanup. It's one of my favorite colors, transparent white on ash (from Guitar Mill) with a gold anodized pickguard, Allparts J neck, Bartolini 8s pickups and Gotoh BG350 tuners.
The only Fender parts on it are the pickguard and 9050 flatwound strings.

I'll take it if you ever tire of it!When I needed to pick up a P on short notice ca. 1987 the only color the shop had wasbrown. It kind of grew on me over the years, still have it hanging around.
