P bass side input

Hey everyone, so I’m planning on a 30” short scale P bass build and will likely go with a side input on the Warmoth body instead of mounting to the pick guard.
I also may be getting a prewired harness from 920D, and so I’m wondering how much longer the wires may need to be to connect the input on the side of the body vs the pick guard? I don’t have a body yet to measure but if I end up getting a pre-wired harness I’d like to tell the folks at 920D to lengthen that wire by X amount?
I don’t imagine the difference between a standard P bass body and a short scale body is a great amount, but if anyone can measure on their P bass body how much longer the wires may need to be to reach for a side input (think telecaster side input)?
A measurement on a standard body would be fine as I’d rather have a half inch too much wire then be a quarter of an inch short LOL
Thanks!
