As mentioned , lakland 44-64 (I’ve seen these with different nut sizes, so check the listing or ask the seller)

Many more options if you expand to active/passive and PJ. But like you OP, I wanted passive, P-only. Don’t be afraid of a neck swap, it’s easy peasy!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I do have a PJ already (Jazz Bass Special) so I'm really looking for a pure P. Also, I don't want to swap necks. I know it's easy, I've done it before just not what I am looking for right now.

@moon-bass - Not sure it's been mentioned here, but the Nash PB-63 has the Jazz Neck option. I own one, and it's fantastic. If you haven't already - check it out. This one is sold, but some good pics - Bass Buddha

So I have all these Jazz Basses ... And one P Bass. It's strung with flats, it's black and maple (just like the bass I learned on) and it plays and sounds great. I just .... Don't gel with it. It's not the bass, it's me, I am really comfortable with a Jazz style neck. So, what are my options? It's not a bass that I will play all the time, so I don't want to spend too much on it, about as much as a used USA Fender will cost, maybe a little more.

Fender or Fender style for sure. All I want is a single P pickup, doesn't need to be active. I *really* want a purple sparkle Adam Clayton, but those are pretty rare!

I should also say that I don't want to go the parts route and/or try to buy a different neck for a regular P Bass.

You sound like me. I have six Jazz Basses. I built a PJ just to see what the big deal is/was. Since I put a Jazz neck on the PJ it feels familiar but I have yet to bond with it. It's a nice looking bass, it's just me.

Passive PJ with a Jazz neck.
I wasn't panning on getting a PJ but once I played it, it just felt so right.

I'll jump on the Peavey Fury train. Got mine for $199 at GC used a couple of years ago. I upgraded the PU to an EMG Geezer, but it didn't really need it. The original also sounded great. But I love the thing.

I must admit, though, that this thread is giving me serious GAS for a Duck Dunn now. Thanks a lot, everyone. I already had serious GAS for the very pricey Fender Custom Shop Postmodern Journeyman Relic Precision, which would be the opposite of my Peavey in terms of price - $3,900 at Sweetwater. But what pretty colors!

I also recently acquired this Fernandes made somewhere in the '77-'81 range. It's a high-quality Precision copy with a Jazz-width nut. If you don't overpay (like I did) these are also a great option.
