P Diddy's Makin the Band.

Thanks and I've never heard of him.

Romeo is one of those LA industry inside dudes known for doing background vocal arrangements for a variety of artist and has been around for years. He also hosts singers showcases in LA,thats the only reason I know who he is because I have some friends who have done his shows. IMO he got wayyyyy extra, especially with the other judges I would love to see the behind the scenes footage of that. On another note ,Jayla (the trans gender contestant), by far was the strongest and most consistent singer I liked the bit of a Chicago house vibe he....a I mean she.....a, whatever! brought to one of the songs they showed. My question;will they judge her on talent? it's funny as many Gay people who work in the music industry it's amazing how Homophobic people are.

That's my question about Jayla too. It was pretty obvious the editing was designed to make fun of Jayla's size, and then focus on her sexuality. The bottom line is that in a studio, a monster background singer, like Luther Vandross was before he got famous, can make a or break a song. Jayla doesn't have to be on the road with Diddy to work.

That tranny can bring it!!!! I thought that was funny when they gave her a 'keep it real' moment and she dropped her voice to her 'man' voice. You have to think that she can sing in all registers, from her natural male voice to her well-practiced 'she-voice'. Confusing, yes, but hey, if you can rock it out, that's all that matters. Its not like any of Diddy's audience would really pick her out at a huge show.

Check out that youtube link on there. Awesome Pbass tone in a gospel setting!! Really diggin this guys playin. I was impressed with him on the show where everyone had to play a rudimentary exercise and he was the ONLY guy who was grooving it and performing the music.

That is some nice playing. I guess the P-bass makes me think of Raphael Saadiq.:bassist:

Well he was pretty much the only bass player they showed. Once again strike against editing lol.

Yeah its crazy. Jayla can straight sing though. I find it interesting how homosexuals are the new "token".

The jazz bass bridge pickup definitely adds some punch!

A Groove is a Terrible Thing to Waste!
