I think you missed his point.

Phil was using sarcasm to prove a point. Jamareo went from not being able to play keyboard bass (his statement at the beginning of the episode) to being able to play a fairly tough song groove-wise... presumably because he's on the show.

I have no doubt Phil knows he got that endorsement long before the show. That's an old pic. Jamareo's been working the game for a while now. There's nothing wrong with that by itself...

No offense to him but unless he really couldn't play key bass before that challenge (or the youtube clip), it smacks of a hustle. The whole we're going to have to help him out because he doesn't play the instrument fed into that, then he confirmed it by the I don't even know where A is thing.

Maybe it really was a "Wow, he really picks up fast!" kind of thing.

Not that anyone is expecting reality in a show like that. It would likely be fairly dull to most laypeople.

Most of the people picked believe it or not are all pretty established in music already. I was told there were people sent away who were 20 times more talented, had more groove and pocket than many of the people picked for the show. Jamareo is very good and obviously loves what he's doing, but c'mon, he's already favorited by the MD's who I feel have a few issues, there were some pretty nice bassists there besides him who got little if no camera time. The comment made by one of the MD's(who is I've been told, a guitarist) "I'm not really feeling ANY of the guitarists here" to Puffy just made it all seem kinda hashed. I dunno, just might be me. Its gonna be interesting to say the least.

I've been watching the show since it first aired a few weeks back. Rawbiz was the first bassist to really peak my interest. It's great to see that he has joined the forum and can add his input. He's a serious musician with an impeccable sense of taste for basses. His MTD's are sick. I think he will get really far in the show, if not actually win it. Jamareo is the other player that I really enjoyed. I'd be glad if either one of these great players made it through to the end.

The clip of Jamereo and the Dean ad definitely tell the story of a more seasoned player. He's got skills and must be a transformer because there is more to him that meets the eye....and ear.

Didn't one of the panel judges leave while two argued?? I think that vocal coach is a punk for yelling at that girl like that. She was happy she wasn't going home. I would have smiled too and told him if he didn't like my smiling to poke out his damn eyes!!!!

For someone who is supposed to be a 'professional', that was VERY unprofessional of him! And then to publicly argue with the other cat in front of these up and coming young pro's doesn't make for positive mentoring! Honestly, if it were me he yelled at, I woulda let him have it and quite possibly punched him in the mouth! You want respect, you gotta give respect and he totally disrepected her!

That was beyond lame. You're supposed to deliberate as a panel and come back with a decision and this guy throws the other judges under the bus. Then jumps all over the vocalist because she smiled back at another judge, most likely in relief. Then jumps on the other judges for explaining.

My guess is his job is very safe because that kind of doofus behaviour is also good for ratings.

Very Springer-esque.

Because she is very pretty. I don't think the guys were losing sleep over whether the fat transvestite said hello.:hiding:

Honestly, the whole thing about her being conceited was so contrived. Her being allowed to stay after a tongue lashing was very predictable too. That episode was reality TV by the numbers, IMO.:scowl:

It seems that the vocal judge is very opinionated and thinks he has all the answers. he didn't even really want to listen to the discussion when they were deciding. Then he pretty much threw the panel under the bus after that. They should give him a challenge and see how he does...like I said earlier..when some people "arrive" they immediately forget where they came from..
