No bass is a one-trick pony, in my opinion. But if sitting in the mix perfectly is one trick, then I'll take that trick over any other.

But that's why I think it's worth having basses of different types, especially if you record or perform diverse music.

Our local, small-town airport just switched from propellor planes to small jets. I’m conflicted. The prop-planes have been around so long. But the jets are newer and more versatile.

What do you think?

If I were going to do lots of puddle jumps maybe 300 to a stretch of 800 miles a prop jet is a good choice. Cheaper to operate and safer when plowing through the birds.

I was born on an Air Force base, and spent the first 42 years of my life around jet aircraft. I loathe them. I cannot stand their kerosene stench; the high pitched whine when they're running on the ground; and the Gawdawful noise they make when they fly. On the other hand...

I actually have something like this on the way. It’s a Bluesman Vintage surf green tele-style p body with a j neck profile and 2 Lollar thunderbird pickups w/ stacked pots. We’re about 2 weeks away from completion.
