P5 Club?

Here are some much better pictures (I took down my other post... that picture sucked!) of my Nordy VP5.... amazing instrument.... 8 pounds! Passive P bliss!

Get out of the city! Do they really??? I'm gonna order one ASAP if that's the case.

Like hdracer says... Measure twice, order once! :)

I actually tried to see if the bridge cover from my Squier CV 60's P would fit, and it was ALMOST good - ended up being too small by about 1mm on each side (no exaggeration). So with a little elbow grease it may be possible for someone to make it work. Just a thought...

I love mine. But part of me wishes that Fender would have offered the black finish P5 with a rosewood fingerboard. I'm really digging that black & tort combination with a rosewood fingerboard.

Yep, that's a really nice look.

Personally, I would have LOVED to have seen them offer the burst P5 with a maple fingerboard.

I'm in.... Love me some P body style 5'ers
2006 P-Deluxe V.. My favorite color by the way -

VERY nice!

Do what I did and have it refinished.
I wanted a RW board but did not want a white or burst.
I would have been happy with a black & RW or Candy Cola & RW.

A re-fin seems rather drastic. Sure, I prefer nitro finishes to poly. But I priced out stripping plus re-finishing with one pretty good shop, and it was at least $400 before tax & shipping.

I think a more realistic option might be to find another P5 owner who's interested in possibly trading bodies. So if anyone has a black bodied Am Std Precision 5, and wants to trade it for a 'burst body, please LMK.
