I know it’s frowned upon to have any certain of criticism today. People get offended and it’s not being open minded…Whatever
I just can’t stand that “indie” thing, like at all. It always appears like the bassist is playing a one pickup retro-ish instrument with some kind of drive through an undefined amp.
God I hate that crap, to be it reminds of people not trying to hard. (IMHO, specifically)
It has to be my least favorite genre and that says a lot.

"I know it's frowned upon . . . " New Yorker writer Calvin Trillin called out a tactic like that in the 1970s. He said he'd noticed that people were starting to say "I know it's not politically correct, but . . . " only to go on to say the same bigoted crap they'd been saying all their lives, but now they expected to get points for bravery. Not that that's what you did, of course. Just reminded me of it.
Speaking of points, you have to admire the smarty-pants irony in calling their band "Indie" anything. Let alone Indie Boys.
In fact, I wonder if it's a knowing allusion to the Indigo Girls.

I’m not fan of vanilla ice cream,
like almost not all…However I like chocolate…I must be a bigot.
I thought they were called Pacifica. Seems dopey to have a big banner “Pacifica” if that’s not their name.
I enjoyed it, and since I love fuzz bass, I enjoyed that sound. Not something I could listen to all the time, but in small doses it sounds like fun.

to be honest, even listening to the YT vid though good headphones, I could not tell if the dirt was the bass player of the guitar player. Also could not tell if they were playing to a backing track, things seemed a little off when they did the break down, then came bombing back in .. almost looked like the drummer did not hit his mark ??? 
oh well, not what the OP asked about and it seems the question about what bass it was has been answered.
I'll keep my personal views on the music to myself, but whatever I might think about it, it does look like they had the crowd rocking.

Maybe it's the sound of one gig and the images of another? But indeed I was interested in the bass.
How is that “indie” music? That sounds like modern mainstream dance pop of some kind, but played on guitar and bass rather than more on synthesizers. The phrase “politically correct” didn’t exist in the 1970’s, as far as I can remember. I didn’t start hearing it until the end of the 90’s.
I’ll criticize you for using the word “to” instead of the word “too”. I guess you didn’t try too hard to learn proper grammar.
You just described a Fender Precision.
It's not - it's a song about fans of indie music and/or indie musicians.
Sort of like how when the Rev. Horton Heat wrote a song titled "Death Metal Guys" - it's not a death metal song.
