Double Bass Palatino or NS WAV4?

Which would folks recommend between these two? I'm on a tight budget, so a MIC EUB is all I can afford. I just need something to study on at home, and that is merely functional for low-budget gigging. I desire a DB sound, and suitable for bowing.

Now I see the two megathreads. Sorry for bringing up this question.

I like the look of a full bass, and I have a Palatino. I don't like slab-style basses, so that's why I don't like the NS WAV. The sound of the Palatino was pretty good out of the box. I modified it with the "rubber under and above the pickup" modification (talked about on the palatino megathread), and it really helped the sound.

I'm going to buy a bridge made of better wood and new strings, and it should sound great. But so far, people have complimented me on the looks and sound of the bass, even without those new modifications.

After doing research on both, I went with the palatino.
