Paramore weird mustang bass?

He's got a point for Paramore. The latest album has 2 good songs. Maybe three. The rest are slow ballads, and while I appreciate them trying to break out of the paramore mold, it's just not interesting. Riot was pretty well written all through out, and their early album was decent for a debut. That said, I can't only take so much choppy guitar before my ears bleed so I only listen to a few songs at a time. Nothing against them, but they certainly have a signature sound.

This.

Bass VI body converted to 4 string with Jazz pups.

Easy enough to make or have made. US Custom Guitars makes a BassVI body. Get a Bronco or SX 3/4 bass neck, graft onto body. Then add the appropriate paint, pups, pickguard, etc.

Personally, I would have sunk the neck further into the body and moved the bridge back to 1 to 1/2" from the bottom. Dif'rent strokes....

Im going to do this now, except mines gonna be 32' scale :p

According to the fender blog, Jeremy designed the bass in photoshop combining elements of a Fender Jazz Deluxe bass and a Fender VI then gave it to Dennis Galuszka to make into reality. Looks like Josh Farro and Taylor York did similar things for their guitars although not creating new designs.

fender knows what they are doing. until that point, they were just playing whatever felt right. now fender gets to say they make ALL of paramore's instruments. smart.
