alright ill bite what kind of amp would u guys reccfomend if i wanted to go upwards from my crate BT25?

Looking at your sig line, 15s will allow you to be felt and heard. This combo in classifieds may be a good way to go, if you're on a budget.

I understand the need to get rid of that money-burning-a-hole-in-your-pocket feeling, but half the fun of getting a new amp is trying as many as you can. Bring your main bass to as many stores as you can and figure out what's best for you, and enjoy the ride.

At 16 I had 6 basses, all of which I bought with my own hard earned cash, I don't see why they wouldn't let you buy a SINGLE bass. Just tell them it will be your last bass purchase for a while, it worked for me.

At 14 your musical jobs are unlikely to require three different kinds of tools.

And a big +1 to saving for a car. Age 16 will be here before you know it, and cars (plus insurance!) are a huge cash drain.

Hard earned cash? No one makes enough money at 16 to buy 6 basses. I don't know what job you had to yield that kind of payoff, but whatever it is... I need to start doing it.

If you're going to blow it on gear you don't need, why stop at 100 watts? Go 500+ like I did!

There was an article called The Futile Pursuit of Happiness, and pretty much what it explains is that the amount of happiness people predict is usually way more than the amount that's actually experienced - especially in terms of buying stuff. You don't need 3 basses, I had only one a few years ago, and I wanted to buy another one, and I thought I would use it a crap load, and I thought I would be the happiest person and won't have to buy another bass in my life. So I begged my parents, and they finally got it for me, and I liked it for a day or two (way shorter than I thought) and then rarely use it now days. It's not because it's not good, but because I exaggerated its importance and the happiness it will bring me. Trust me, you'll get over it faster than you think.

2. If it's your money--and I assume it's in your possession--why even mention it to your parents? Just go buy the thing.

If I earnt it, no one else has ever told me how to spend it.

That said, the suggestion to save it towards a car may be worth considering. Then there's always booze and hookers. See if that suggestion doesn't get your parents to change their minds.

Yeah I'm 14 too and my parents won't let he have a second bass, I wanted an Ibanez for metal, but they won't let me. So now I just wait to get my giant Gallien-Krueger stack, I'm gonna blow out their brains with it. Hehe I just need $300 more dollars.

I even pay for all my gear with my own money and I still can't buy a second bass, but I can get bigger amps. As long as I carry them around.

Just get a girlfriend. That money will vanish in no time.

BUT, buy all the crap you can before this happens, that way - you already have it before you get sucked into spending your paychecks on dates and gifts.

Buy a better amp, then funnel the rest of your money into savings for a car. You'll get a hell of a lot more use out of that than a third bass, trust me.

I like the higher-level Fenders. Stay away from the crappy Rumble Series, but the Bassman and Pro combos with Eminence speakers are great.

Well, as for bang for your buck, I'd recommend Carvin. One of their heads coupled with one of the BRX series neodymium cabs should be quite an impressive rig, and a lot cheaper than Fender or Ampeg.
