We can have a BRIEF discussion here about religion being responsible. It will probably be brief because it is against the rules and people on either side of the question can get worked up quickly. Is that what we want?
It seems to me that fighting over our differences and not accepting others is the bigger problem. I know that is a simplification but having our own little war of words here only divides us in a time when we all need to stand together.
There comes a time when we need to forget our differences and seek common ground and this is one of those times. What do you say TB? Can we do that?

With the influx of refugees from Syria/ME over the past couple months will Europe be a new front in the war with ISIL? One of the dead terrorists had a Syrian passport....

I long for the days when dictators in the Middle East and North Africa used fear and force to create stability.


My sympathies to France, Russia, and good hearted people from the Middle East.

Did anyone hear about or give a rats behind concerning the two suicide bombings in Beirut killing 41 people and wounded more than 200 others on Thursday?

How about the 230 Shaitats found in a mass grave?
Did you see the video where a man was tied to a utility pole and shot with a RPG? Afterwards, the terrorists shot the corpse with rifles before kicking it and dancing around it.

I say it is greed, offense, bitterness, ignorane, apathy and intolerance are responsible. Those things are in every culture and country and always have been. Can we overcome those things in ourselves?
