Right, some background on my problem.
I regularly use both an active and a passive bass during the same gig. When I swap basses, I have to remember to change the jack in my amp from the active to passive input, or vice-versa. This is not usually a problem, as I usually remember, but when I forget it is a pain, and it is really annoying having to do it because a) it looks unprofessional, and b) it takes me twice as long to change over.
So my question is this:
Is there something I can do to my Epiphone Thunderbird (in limited edition Metallic Red) that will increase the output to be the same as my active bass? Rewiring and stuff won't be a problem, but I will need specific instructions or parts and what to do with them, because I don't know that much about electronics.
Or is this just wishful thinking and I have to invest in a booster or EQ pedal?
