Paul McCartney - I Don't Know - 5-string bass?

Paul has played Yamaha and a Wal Five string basses in the past in his bands but in the studio there is no telling it just may have been one of his basses or something at hand when he was recording that bass part, it certainly does not sound like the Hofner to my ear.

As far as my knowledge goes, Paul never played a Yamaha 5-string. Just a Yamaha BB1200.

Paul was presented a left-hand Wal Five during the TRIPPING THE LIVE FANTASTIC days, and the album opens with 'Pieces of Eight', where you can definitely hear him at work with it.

Yep, I'm well aware of the Wal. That had awesome tone, maybe my 2nd favorite of his next to the Yammie BB. I wonder if this is what he's using for this new song?
