Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman RIP)

Oh, man. So sad. He had a troubled life but "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" will always be one of my favorite movies. I enjoyed some of the "Pee Wee's Playhouse" show as well.
Well, his character was calculatedly weird, that's for sure. I have no idea what Paul Reubens was like otherwise. Pee-Wee was an absolutely classic character though - and Pee-Wee's Playhouse was about the zaniest kid's show I've ever seen!

My dad used to quote "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" all the time. Nothing but fond memories with that one. I will most certainly be re-watching that movie this week, remembering my dad and good ol' Pee-Wee.

I watched Big Adventure again on a flight this month. Still a great show.

He filmed part of his movie in San Antonio. It was an accurate depiction with every person in Texas shown wearing a cowboy hat.
I never saw it as a kids show. So many innuendos that made it hilarious for adults. RIP Paul and thanks for all the laughs.
I don't disagree! It was heavily based on his original stage show - which was made for adults.
