Not even Fender CS would relic a bass that badly! Looks like a parts bass to me, it wouldn't be hard to put together.

You've said what I've been thinking!
Played a lot of vintage Fenders and never seen one with such a concentrated wear mark.
I think the CS shop is more about recreating what might have been.

No idea about the bass, but that was a pretty cool and interesting video.

Also, growing up in the 70s and 80s I never would've dreamt that in 2020 I'd be getting a lecture on public health from Kiss's guitarist. Funny how things work.

I’m under the impression that Paul is quite a bit more thoughtful than one might expect from one of the godfathers of cock rock. His memoir is quite a good read.

I'd seen this already and didn't pay the bass much attention. Only because there's so many variations out there it could be anything, probably something he picked up on a whim because he wanted to record something. He's been known to play many types of guitars throughout their career.

The headstock also looks like its Black with a Fender Logo!! The body could be a 60's or early 70's with the thumb rest on the treble side!! ...Any Thoughts??

Paul Stanley is a professional musician and celebrity, with millions of dollars. I think he can afford anything he wants, though Fender would probably just make it in their custom shop and then give it to him for free.
