The fact that he was willing to sell a FCS bass so cheaply makes me suspect that he knew it was a fugazi. Any business willing to sell a bass of that caliber for less than $500 wouldn't be in business very long.

Does it matter, probably not, it ended well. However, I don't think I'd nominate the guy for canonization either.

I have to agree, if someone walks through the door at any pawnshop with a $3000 instrument the owner or manager is fully aware of it.
At least it worked out very well for you, it may have not been the case for someone else. Congrats!
