No. Always at the heel of the neck.
what he said. They're all a PITA in that way.
I wish everyone would do what EBMM did - that is the coolest truss-rod scheme *ever*....
+1 My Lakland Decade has the same design. I love it.
Really! That's cool. My old Lakland 4-94 does not... but it's still better than old Fenders (which often resulted in folks gouging into the pickguard / body to make adjustments...!)
That's what I thought. The reason I asked is Steve Harris is my favorite bass player, and I've always read he always played the same early 70s pbass. I watched one of the concerts the other night and noticed the truss rod adjustment at the headstock. I guess he had fender specially make him a neck to his specs. His Sig model has the headstock adjustment too.

sanderic said:Fender used a "Bullet" truss rod during the 1970s that was adjusted at the headstock.
But that was only on the Jazz Bass and Telecaster Bass.
The Precision was still at the butt of the neck (50's -70's).
